Historical stylistic analysis
It is a type of oil lamp that was very successful and often named in the “Florentine” inventory but realized either in Florence and Rome. The ones described don’t report the stamp of the city, kind of license that was only given in Florence, but only the silvesmith’s stamp, SC. Several examples are reported in the bibliography of the italian silversmiths.
